According to the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN), one in six American women are victims of sexual assault, and about 44% of rape victims are under age 18. The statistics are sobering and unfortunately very real.
April is National Child Abuse Prevention month, and WomanLinks.com is honored to mark the occassion with the courageous and inspiring story of Alissa Lukara. In Riding Grace: A Triumph of the Soul, Alissa shares her journey of hope and recovery. Alissa tours the globe speaking before thousands on the need to put a face on the silent survivors of child sexual abuse.
