heartsThe right relationship should be full of joy and pleasure. It can and should be bliss, most of the time.

Bliss in a relationship does not mean lack of trouble, confrontations or disappointments. Bliss is not smoothness, lack of conflict, or blandness.

It is the opening of the heart, the connection of soul to soul, the conversation where everything is revealed and nothing is held back. It is joy shared and the sweet sorrow of sadness felt and embraced together. Ecstasy is shared laughter and commingled tears. All of it matured with time, as sweet as aged wine, opened not a minute too soon.

Does a relationship where you have to settle for crumbs of connection bring pleasure? Does a relationship where you have to be someone other than yourself excite your heart? Does a relationship where you cannot deeply and finally ask for what you want and get it touch your soul?

Does your relationship awaken you to the pleasure of connection or deprive you of that pleasure? If your answer is of deprivation, of lonely sadness, of disconnection, what will you do to change the course you are on? Can you permit yourself to be in a relationship full of joy and pleasure?
