Dirty laundry sits piled on the floor
Cracks on the roof get wider
A house barely breathing
Under heavy artillery
The dust settles
Becomes the chocking kind
She wants him today don’t ask her the same question tomorrow

The attic where young love once bloomed she hardly ever visits
He sits at home rebuilding the walls she tore down
Plasters the cracks To make them look brand new

His heart does not fit her anymore
Her diamond ring feels too tight
In the evening
She wears it around her neck
It sits low hidden By her moon covered breast

She likes to swim in alligator waters
Then kiss him goodbye with fraudulent lips
He drowns in domesticate ignorance
Then holds her used flesh
With eyes wide shut

Behind closed doors
He burns the bed to reveal all
Apart they sleep
With lights on and covers off
Her sins killing his mind
At dusk the house falls at her feet, settles
Becomes the choking kind
